Researchers at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research of the CSIC, participate in the European project EUSAAR, which focuses on the study of atmospheric particles and their impact on climate change.

 

Montseny station controls atmospheric pollution.The effect of atmospheric particles remains the main uncertainty in the calculation of radiative forcing, the index used to measure the heating or cooling the planet. EUSAAR priority aims to create a monitoring network of atmospheric particles and also unify the methodology of analysis at international level. Spain contributes with an air monitoring station in the Montseny mountains.
