The INNOLOG project led by CSIC has developed two probes (borehole logging tools) and a mineral-identification software based on machine leaning/deep learning methods to improve the time and cost efficiency in the search of subsoil/subsurface resources. Innolog results and products apply new sensors and technologies (hyperspectral and laser based) that enable a more efficient subsoil exploration for resources, such as geothermal ones, in accordance with the goals of the European Green Deal.

The IIIIA, CSIC's Institute of Research in Artificial Intelligence, participates in the NanoMOOCs project aimed at creating a new audiovisual learning format that will allow capturing and analysing participants’ emotions, among other novelties. The nanoMOOCs project is a part of the RIS3CAT Media Community, funded by the Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIO), in Catalonia.

The ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, centre that has the CSIC among its trustees, strengthen its collaboration with the global network of Microsoft Quantum Labs. The company is focused on developing a scalable quantum computer. The ICN2 laboratories will provide atomic-scale measurements, analysis, and modelling of new materials.
