A double-blind clinical trial has demonstrated the antihypertensive activity of peptids isolated from milk proteins. The peptids will be commercialized by the Spanish biotech company Innaves as a food ingredients.
Some time ago, researchers at the CSIC identified peptides with antihypertensive activity from milk proteins. Now, a double-blind clinical trial has demonstrated its antihypertensive effect in humans. The peptides, which will be commercialized as a food ingredient by the Spanish biotech company Innaves, can be added to many different products as they resist usual processes such as pasteurization, homogenization and spray drying.
